Fun Facts of CBD

Scientists used to identify cannabinoids only in the Cannabis plant, commonly called marijuana or hemp. Modern research, however, has found cannabinoid-like phytoceuticals in many plants, including clove, black pepper, echinacea, broccoli, ginseng, copaiba, and carrots.

Our bodies have many receptors that take in hormones and other chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, and cannabinoids. When we ingest CBD it binds to our CB1 and CB2 receptors, located throughout the body, which are part of the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is thought to help regulate a wide range of bodily functions, particularly in the central nervous system and immune system. It helps to create homeostasis, or balance, in the body. When our bodies are in balance we eat better, sleep better and feel better!
